Arm Lift Case #14

This is a 36 year old lady who came to us from Buna, Texas. She had undergone a lap band procedure and at the time of her consultation had lost 70 pounds. She is 5’6”, 173 pounds and works for a communications company moving product from their warehouse. She desires cosmetic improvement of several areas of her body due to massive weight loss, however, she complains of her arms the most. She suffers from rashes under her arms. On examination, the surgeon found excess skin in the upper arms both medially and posteriorly making her an excellent candidate for a brachioplasty (arm lift surgery). The procedure was performed in our surgical suite in Webster, Texas and the patient went to a nearby hotel the same day accompanied by a relative. The next day she came in for her first follow up visit and was doing well enough to return home. Thereafter, she returned to our office for her routine visits. Three months later her post op pictures were taken and her arms look fabulous, with the scar nicely hidden under her arms.
