Tummy Tuck Case #53

This is a 36 year old mother of three who works for a chemical plant. She came to our office desiring an improved appearance of her abdomen. During the surgeon’s physical exam, she was found to be 5’4” and weighed 180 pounds. The lower abdomen was rather generous with loose skin and she had a loose abdominal wall. The patient’s BMI was in the 30 range and although some weight loss was advisable, the patient was honest in expressing that she did not see herself losing the weight. So in order to achieve the results the patient was after, the recommendation was for an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The procedure was performed in our private surgical suite in Webster, Texas and the patient went home the same day. Two days later she walked back in to our office for her first follow up visit doing well. Her after pictures were taken 3 months later and although the scar was still a little red, the patient was very pleased with her results.
