Tummy Tuck Case #57

This is a 50 year old mother of three who came in to our office from Rosharon, Texas looking for an improved appearance of her abdomen after massive weight loss. The patient is 5’1”, weighed 125 pounds and had undergone gastric bypass surgery two years ago. During the surgeon’s physical exam, poor elasticity to the lower abdominal skin was found, however, the waist and legs looked great.  In order to achieve the results the patient was after and because her weight had been stable for a year, the recommendation was for an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The procedure was performed in our private surgical suite in Webster, Texas and the patient went home the same day. Two days later she walked back in to our office for her first follow up visit doing well. Her after pictures were taken 3 months later and although the scar was still a little red, the patient was very pleased with her new flat tummy.
