Breast Augmentation with Mastopexy Case #131

This is a 25 year old mother of one who works as a restaurant manager in Kemah, Texas while at the same time finishing culinary school. She is interested in a breast augmentation. On examination by our surgeon in our Webster, Texas office, he found the skin of her breasts to be very stretchy and the nipples were below the inframammary fold.  She not only had nipple ptosis but glandular ptosis (drooping). Truth be told, she would have a much better and longer lasting result with a vertical mastopexy, but because she is young, the thought of having a vertical scar in the front of her breasts did not appeal to her. Therefore, the recommendation was for a periareolar mastopexy (lift) in combination with a breast augmentation. The surgery was performed in our private surgical suite, there the surgeon placed 500cc silicone implants in a submuscular position using an areolar incision in order to achieve the look the patient desired. The patient went home the same day and was able to return to work a week later. She was very pleased with her results.
